UCW

The United Church Women of Royal York Road is a vital part of the life of the church. There are over 100 members who offer friendship, support and a happy working environment to one another and other members of the congregation.

Each year these women support Fred Victor Mission with gifts of clothing, hand knit scarves, toiletries, pajamas and slippers, Massey Centre with gifts of money, the food bank and other local charities and our homebound members with boxes of shortbread at Christmas.

UCW units meet in the morning, afternoon and evening, so there is a time convenient for everyone. Major fundraisers include The Royal Fair (an annual bazaar) held in October, and sale of geraniums in May.

All women are welcome!

The purpose of UCW is to unite the women of the congregation for the total mission of the Church and to provide a medium through which they may express their loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian Witness, Study, Fellowship and Service.
