Royal York Road United Church

We are fortunate at Royal York Road to have an ongoing influx of new people who, for a variety of reasons, are thinking about making this their Church family. 

There are two ways to become an official member of the United Church of Canada and thus, a member of Royal York Road.  If you have recently been an active member of another congregation we can ask that Church, whether it be United or another denomination to transfer your membership to Royal York Road.  Or, if you have never been a member of a Church or if your membership has lapsed we ask you to reaffirm the faith proclaimed in your baptism. 

We love to welcome new members who bring new energy and ideas and we try our best to offer support and Christian hospitality to all of our members, new and long-time.  We also must be honest that we rely on all of our members for support for the ongoing ministry of our congregation.  Your gifts of time, talent and financial resources are what enable us to reach out to those within our walls and beyond. 

You can indicate a desire to be part of our congregation by filling out a pew card indicating you are interested in membership or by contacting the church office 416-231-9401.  One of the ministers will make an appointment to visit you and talk about the United Church and our congregation so that you feel comfortable with the choice you are making about membership. Then once the date has been set to welcome you and others, you will be provided with a mentor who can help answer any questions and make you feel more at home.
